Issue:
Ms Excel - File size increases drastically

Solution / Workaround:
When you use Pivots/Look-ups/Formulas for multiple rows and delete them, sometime excel keeps ghost cells (i.e. blank dummy cells without any data)
Here is the workaround to remove them and reduce the size of the xls workbook:
Perform these steps for each tab (sheet) in your file

Here is the workaround to remove them and reduce the size of the xls workbook:
Perform these steps for each tab (sheet) in your file
- Press Ctl+End and check the last row and column of your sheet. If this is as per your data, then you are good. If not, then remove the extra rows and/or columns.
- Check for unused Pivot tables, Look ups and other references and remove them
- Save the file and close the file
